Plastic Tramps were originally formed late 2016 at South Devon College. Fast forward to 2022 and the band has settled on a 3-piece line-up including Oli Pringle, Sam Jacques and latest member Robert Wardman.
The band has gone from strength to strength over the years honing their sound as they bring their live show to all corners of the south-west.
The band has a vivid stage presence with infamous striking face paint and waistcoats, they cut an image that wouldn’t be out of place in a hazy bar from a dystopian world. They’re hard to forget.
With influences ranging from local hero’s Muse to Bowie to Rage against the Machine, you’ll hear a plethora of sounds that piece together to become the Tramps’ trademark noise. A sound that you can’t quite pin down to one genre, their original touch will leave you breathless and wanting more.
Want to have a taste? With an accompanying music video that received over 1,000 views on Youtube within 24 hours, ‘Asylum Insane’ was the third out of the 4 songs on their latest EP. Shot by the talented Luc Amaden, the video is the bands creative pinnacle so far as it perfectly captures the energy of the group to give you a feel of exactly what they are all about.
With over 100,000 streams on Spotify, The Tramps could not have asked for a better reception! They have also featured on BBC Introducing in the South West, presented by Sarah Gosling.
